TI-84 Calculator OnlineA TI-84 Plus CE simulator that works like the real thing

Press the same keys you would on the handheld: 2nd and ALPHA menus, Y= graphing with TRACE and CALC, the STAT list editor with regressions, and the DISTR probability functions. Type on your keyboard, and your work is saved in your browser.

Built for real classwork, not just arithmetic

Every button below loads an example straight into the calculator above, so you can watch the keystrokes play out.

MATH menu

Exact fractions

Press MATH then 1: ▶Frac to turn any decimal into an exact fraction. See the fractions guide.

Y= and CALC

Graphing that traces

Enter functions in Y=, then use TRACE and the CALC tools for zeros, minimums and intersections. See the graphing guide.

STAT lists

Statistics from real lists

Type data into L1, then run 1-Var Stats or a regression. See the standard deviation guide.

DISTR menu

Probability distributions

normalcdf, invNorm, invT, binompdf and more from 2nd + VARS, with the same syntax as the handheld.

Three ways students use this TI-84 calculator online

Learn the keystrokes

Follow a guide with the calculator open beside it. Menu paths like 2nd + + → 7 → 1 → 2 work exactly as written, so the muscle memory transfers to the handheld you use in class.

Check homework fast

Graph a function, press 2nd + TRACE and read the zero or intersection, or run a regression on your list data and compare it with your working.

Type instead of clicking

Your keyboard drives the calculator, which is much faster for long expressions.

Keyboard shortcuts
  • 0-9 . digits
  • + - * / ^ operators
  • Enter evaluates · Esc is CLEAR
  • Backspace is DEL · arrows move the cursor
  • X types the X variable
  • Letters type themselves, so sin( and L1 work

Teach on a projector

The screen scales cleanly for a whiteboard, keys highlight as you press them, and you can directly in Canvas, Schoology or Google Classroom.

Answer one question quickly

Focused tools built on the same engine as the simulator, so the answers match what the handheld prints — and each one shows the keystrokes or syntax to reproduce it yourself.

Quadratic equation solver

Exact roots, the discriminant, the vertex and the working

Gives surds such as (3+√5)/2 rather than rounding to a decimal

Matrix calculator

rref, inverse, determinant, multiply and transpose

Reports the handheld's own errors, such as SINGULAR MAT

Linear regression calculator

Line of best fit with r, r² and a prediction for any x

Explains why r and r² are missing until diagnostics are on

Other calculators on this site

The TI-84 Plus CE simulator and the graphing calculator are finished. The other models are marked beta while their menus are completed.

TI-84 Plus CE

Colour graphing calculator simulator

The full simulator: real menu navigation, the Y= editor, ZOOM presets, TRACE, the CALC tools, stat lists and probability distributions — the keystrokes match the handheld.

  • Working 2nd and ALPHA keys with MATH, TEST, ANGLE, DISTR, LIST, VARS and CATALOG menus
  • Y= editor with 10 functions, WINDOW, TABLE and the ZOOM presets (ZStandard, ZTrig, ZoomFit…)
  • CALC menu: value, zero, minimum, maximum, intersect, dy/dx and ∫f(x)dx with bound prompts

Graphing calculator

Full-screen function plotter

A large, fast plotter for when you just need the curve: type several functions, drag to pan, pinch or scroll to zoom, read coordinates and export the graph as an image.

  • Plot up to six functions at once with colour coding
  • Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, with labelled axes
  • Live coordinate readout under the pointer

TI-30XS MultiView

Scientific calculator (beta)

A four-line scientific calculator with the 2nd layer, mode screen, data lists and statistics. Fractions stay exact until you press ◄►, just like the handheld.

  • 2nd layer, mode screen (DEG/RAD, SCI/ENG, fixed decimals)
  • ◄► toggles between fraction, mixed number and decimal answers
  • data list editor with 1-VAR and 2-VAR statistics plus regression
Open TI-30XS MultiView
BetaBeta — behaviour follows the TI-84 engine

TI-83 Plus

Classic monochrome graphing (beta)

The TI-84 engine with the classic green monochrome screen and classic linear syntax, for anyone learning on an older TI-83 Plus.

  • Monochrome screen styling with the same working menus
  • Y= graphing, WINDOW, ZOOM, TRACE and TABLE
  • Statistics lists and regressions
Open TI-83 Plus
BetaBeta — the TI-89 is banned on the ACT because of its CAS

TI-89 Titanium

Symbolic algebra & calculus (beta)

A TI-89 styled workspace that answers symbolically: factoring, expansion, derivatives, integrals and exact solutions, plus numeric fallbacks. Identities, limits and series are not simulated.

  • factor( and expand( for polynomials, with exact factors
  • d( for symbolic derivatives, including the chain and product rules
  • ∫( for indefinite integrals, or definite ones with limits

What is simulated, and what isn’t

A calculator you can’t trust is worse than none. Here is exactly where this one matches the handheld and where it stops — anything missing says so on screen instead of inventing an answer.

✅ Works like the handheld

  • 2nd and ALPHA layers, and the menu paths in our guides
  • Y= graphing, ZOOM presets, TRACE, TABLE and the CALC tools
  • STAT list editor, 1-Var/2-Var stats and seven regressions
  • DISTR: normal, t, χ², F, binomial, Poisson, geometric
  • Order of operations, fractions, MEM reset and error messages

⛔ Not simulated yet

  • Stacked MathPrint templates (entry is linear, like Classic mode)
  • Stat plots such as scatter and box plots
  • TI-BASIC programs, apps and games
  • Complex numbers (results are REAL mode only)
  • Linking to another calculator, and Press-to-Test

📝 Before an exam

Exam boards require a physical, approved calculator. Use this to learn the keystrokes and check homework, then practise on the handheld itself. See how to reset memory before a test.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. There is no account, subscription or download. Everything runs in your browser, so it also works on school Chromebooks, iPads, Macs and Windows laptops.

Work out the answer, then press MATH and choose '1: ▶Frac' and ENTER. It also works on a whole expression: type 3/4+2/5, then MATH 1 and ENTER to get 23/20. See our fractions guide.

Press GRAPH, then 2nd + TRACE to open CALC. Choose '2: zero', '3: minimum', '4: maximum' or '5: intersect' and answer the Left Bound, Right Bound and Guess prompts with the arrow keys or by typing an x value. Full walkthrough in our graphing guide.
